Yet, it's important to stay safe and comfortable in a used UTV when working, or riding with your friends or family. Having appropriate safety gear is a must while riding a used UTV. Helmets are the first and most important piece of equipment anyone can have when riding. Make sure you have a DOT-rated helmet that protects the faces on any and all riders on the used UTV. You can use Motocross helmets, as they are breathable, lightweight and offer the needed protection when in an open-air vehicle. Following this tip, you'll need a pair of gloves, a long sleeve shirt, full-length pants and closed-toe shoes (preferably boots). Be sure to wear it all, and you'll be safer for it.

As tempting as it is to head off track and into the wild brushes, it needlessly endangers everyone on the used UTV to tread on anything but established trails. You do not want to tear up ecosystems or damage your used UTV's undercarriage, or even worse, permanently decommission the engine. You'll most likely run into unseen obstacles like holes, ditches, logs and other wild debris.  Stay on the approved trails and you won't risk breaking anything.
